OK, I really don't want to cause a rucus and that is apparently what is going on re Chat. So I have removed the whole email login thing and reset it back to the way it was. All I ask is that we respect each other and act like we graduated 3rd grade. Can we do that? I knew that you could.

Well, I didn't want those "hoops" to discourage maximum participation. And also, I was thinking that suddenly rushing to put up fences is exactly what we shouldn't have to do. If there a couple of dinks out there who get their rocks off by pretending to be someone else, let 'em. I think by now we know each other well enough to be able to spot an imposter (eg. the Cliff Hucker incident) fairly quickly. By rushing to erect "security" systems, we are merely feeding whatever gives this guy (or guys or gals) his jollies. I'm hoping we can take care of this without going to restrictive measures.

Nah. For me at least. I'm just going back to business as usual. A lot more stuff out there worth getting my blood pressure up over. It's a goddamn chat room! If someone wants to take my identity and post stuff saying how much they enjoy the company of young boys, have at it. I'm comfortable with the knowledge that those whose opinion I actually give any credenct to will know the "real" me.

Can you see the real me, doctor, doctor?
Can you see the real me, doctor?

(in my top 5 rock songs of all time)

High on my list too. I love downtrodden, misused, chemically imbalanced protagonists. Can't figure out why.

I've never noticed disrespect at Chatzey, only some good natured jabs. It's all about music there-imo.
I'll admit to being oversensitive at times.
I've been to events where freedom of speech was shouted down- ie- A few years back in Berkeley when Benjamin Netanyahu was shouted down and not allowed to speak. At various "antiwar" demonstrations in San Francisco where I was in fear for my health by some very scary people.
Sorry for any misunderstanding on my part yesterday.
